This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom family is a fun blend of outgoing, energetic, and intelligent personalities. Sure we have our more reserved kiddos who quietly participate in everything, but one thing we all love to do is read. Story time is one of our favorite times of the day because we enter a whole new world of imagination and creativity. Our kids also love to read independently which is amazing because though some may struggle to read all the words, they still find meaning through pictures which allows them to create their own story lines in the books they read.

Unfortunately, our books have not had a chance to be properly displayed since our last bookshelf fell apart.

We have had to line books on the floor and use some leftover crates to store our books, but we still struggle to look through the piles to find what might be of interest. New bookshelves would allow us to properly store and display our books so we are able to safely choose a book we like. Your help in creating a safe and sturdy library for our books is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
