Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Each day, my students get to engage in math and reading stations in the inclusion classroom. These stations can be more interactive and engaging with some use of technology. They can practice math and reading skills easily by using the mini IPads.

This project will give my students an opportunity to have access to technology.

My special education students are eager to learn with their peers in a regular education classroom and they strongly desire access to technology that is not available at home.

My Project

The iPads will be used as a resource that contains apps for basic reading and math skills review. The iPad will allow the students access to apps to practice their basic skills in math and reading. This will allow me to help my students utilize accommodations that they need to be successful in the regular classroom. The iPads will allow me to create additional learning stations in the classrooms. The students will utilize Education City and Reflex Math to practice skills taught by me and the regular education teacher. The iPads will keep the learning engaging by allowing students to work independently at a reading or math center at their own level. If the students have these iPads, they will be able to be highly engaged with various activities.
