My Students

My students are wonderful. They work hard and want to do well in class. They are bright and intelligent students with bright futures ahead of them.

I want to provide my students with the best resources while they are in my classroom to ensure them the best possible future.

The study of geography is so important in our global society, and this project will allow them to dig a little deeper into why certain events have occurred, and how these events have impacted the people and history around them.

My Project

I strive to include narratives of real people into my geography classes. New worlds come alive through literature. I wish to bring that to my students. In my classroom, we discuss many conflicts in the world, including in Africa, and this book describes the horror that some Africans have had to suffer through. This book will help to open the eyes of my students to the struggles of the world around them, and broaden their horizons further than the town they live in. My hope is that I can teach my students to be grateful for what we have and give to those in need. We need a class set of 30 books.
