My Students
This year I have the privilege of teaching a wonderful group of super smart third graders who are eager to learn and even more eager to reach goals set before them. More than 60% of my students are from low socioeconomic households and lack access to the most basic of technological resources.
Many of my students are capable of being ranked among the brightest students in the state, but these socioeconomic challenges place restrictions on just how far they can truly go due to their limited access to technology
My Project
The students are motivated to learn by way of engagement, and much of this lies within technology. The tablets and headphones requested will grant my students access to engaging websites which will be used to promote student participation.
Technology within the classroom will most certainly create a captivating environment where the students will be able to produce work.
The tablets used within the classroom is also a key component in closing any gaps in the student's learning which will lead to their success on state tests and their in class performance. These tablets will provide the students with access to academic sites needed for their future success.
