Our students come from various backgrounds and need help. Now that Hurricane Harvey not only hit Houston but my school as well, we need help. My students are very creative and innovative. The classes are mixed with special needs students. They can make something from literally nothing. Living in a low-income community, plus not having much is challenging, but my students keep pressing through despite the odds stacked against them.
Our school is considered to be 100% free and reduced-price lunch because of the poverty level.
My students' income level is so low that they receive assistance from the Houston Food Bank and Backpack Buddies so that they can have food to eat on the weekends when they are not at school. My students are imaginative, creative, and fun. My students are willing to learn and create despite all of the everyday obstacles they face.
My project is urgent. It helps bring technology into the classroom for a fun learning experience. It also adds safety and protection to the three iPads we currently have, plus adds additional iPads into classroom for the ability to have a longer and more proactive technology learning group in the classroom. This project also adds more S.T.E.A.M. into the classroom environment. Computers and online learning are the wave of the future. When Hurricane Harvey came through we lost everything and we are now building up all of the school and classrooms again. Thanks in advance for helping my students get this ultimate learning experience.
