My students come into my classroom every day with obstacles that I may not even know about, they are hidden away. This does not stop them from overcoming adversity and succeeding in the classroom. That is just one thing I love about them. They have so much that could be holding them back but they don't let it.
Perseverance, determination, and hard work all come together to help my students overcome daily obstacles in their lives.
They strive daily to be their best, to be better than they were yesterday and that means the world to me.
As a teacher, I do my best to provide them with multiple opportunities to learn, test their learning, and grow. These are opportunities that they may never have had before but I give them that chance at success. My students are unique in their personalities, learning, and daily life; their learning experiences should be targeted towards their unique qualities.
My Project
We have all heard of escape rooms; well I felt it was time to get them to our school. Our students have done one or two small ones but have been begging to do more with more challenges. Students will be building escape rooms for each other. This gives students responsibility for their own learning. They will be required to incorporate various subjects, what they have learned in the past, and some fun!
Locks and boxes are just two of the many items that will come together to create escape room activities for students in various classes.
Escape rooms help students think outside of the box to get into the box. Help me bring this opportunity to my students and my school.
