Living Things Science Unit

My Students

The students are a group of physically challenged elementary school children. The population of the school has changed over the years and more students are on the autism spectrum.

More than 50% of the students are from families that are considered high poverty.

The students come from a wide variety of nationalities and cultures. The students and staff have created an environment that celebrates diversity. The school has a wonderfully inclusive environment for all its students.

My Project

We are working on different environments in our living things science unit. The materials requested are going to give the students a hands on experience of planting plants that would be fount in the desert. We will be planting succulents using soil and plant pots and in the end the students would have a nice pot of plants they could take home.

The students will learn to take care of the plants in school.

After the students understand the needs of the plant and how to take care of them the plant will go home.
