My Project

I love that my students seek to learn and try new things even when they are initially apprehensive. We are requesting pastels. My students enjoy being challenged to think outside of the box and in doing this project which will combine realism with surrealist techniques, students will be able to let their imaginations run wild as they draft, plan, and organize their surrealist landscapes. Students will create their landscapes from 1 of 3 types (natural, urban, or rural), then add elements from their imaginations to take their landscapes into the realm of surrealism. Skills learned in this project will lay the foundation for students to be open-minded and take educational/artistic risks.
