My Students
LCS is a rural school district located between Rochester and Buffalo, along the shores of Lake Ontario. Our area is rich in farmland and limited in internet access.
Remote learning was a trying time for us all, but our students met the challenge with resilience and were eager and ready to learn despite the difficulties.
Our children have really missed being in school the past few months and I am excited to once again meet their needs this year by providing opportunities for digital literacy with an emphasis on 21st-century skills. I feel with these resources, I can better prepare them for this year and into the foreseeable future.
My Project
Returning to school this year will not look the same, but that doesn't mean we can't still have engaging instruction and rich interactions. Even though we can't be close, we can still utilize our technology to stay connected both in the classroom and at home.
Funding this project will help us to get the technology and resources needed to create and implement lessons that foster collaboration and encourage students' active participation in class, whether it's in the classroom or from home.
With your help, my 6th-grade students will have access to resources that will help keep them motivated, excited, and equipped to learn throughout our journey this year!
