My Students
Our elementary students grow and learn at a Pre K-5 rural elementary school. Being in a rural community, we would like to bring opportunities that they may not be exposed to otherwise. They are wonderful children who are eager to expand their experiences and minds. We are partners in our journey through the years they spend with us.
Being a part of their journey, I have learned from my many years of teaching that students need to be connected to what they are learning.
My Project
My students learn best when they can be immersed in what they are learning. By listening and reading to various books like "But I Read It on the Internet", "Webster's Email" "Kids Get Coding: Online Safety For Coders," "Chicken Clicking" and a few other books focused on digital literacy, my students will build their understanding of how to be a digital citizen in our ever-changing and fast-paced digital world.
"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, and involve and I learn," is such an appropriate quote from Benjamin Franklin and sums up what "Living in a Digital World" is all about because my students will be involved and accountable for their learning.
