Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

My Students
My students range from the age of 11 and 12 and the are very eager to take on the world. Most of my students are limited to the amount of resources that they have at home and this sometimes plays a role in them falling behind. With that being said, they still refuse to give up and are ready for any challenge.
The day to day challenges that comes with coming from an underprivileged home and overcoming life’s obstacles is what make my students special.
My Project
The use of theses games such as Nasco Racing for Health Game, Great Plate Game, Nasco Nutrition Facts Toss- Up Ball will help increase the students knowledge about how to stay healthy while dealing with peer pressure. My students will be able to learn and enjoy different ways to say no to drug as well as understanding the effects of eating healthy meals.
Having the Health Education Ideas - 24 Dimensions of Wellness for Adolescents Book, will allow for my students to enjoy health in a different way.
Its time to stop the stereotype about health in our community and get educated.
