My Students

My students are great kids who love reading, playing, and discovering new facts. They come from different countries from around the world including Italy, Germany, Colombia, Chile, Spain, and Costa Rica.

They are a fantastic group and we are having so much fun together.

Moreover, we belong to a bilingual program where we learn English and Spanish, so everything we do in our class is in both languages. It is challenging and really exciting to see how they learn in both languages.

My Project

Everyday my students churn the muscles of their imagination to tell original stories and act them out with their classmates. If we are to treat them as the artists and storytellers that they are, we know that they need inspiration to do this creative work day after day. As their teacher I ask myself, What do they need to get to the next level of telling about themselves? How can they act with more expression and voice? How can they better understand the role of the audience in storytelling? The answer is that they need to see and enjoy real theatre! After seeing "Stuart Little," we will have something to inspire them. And as a group, we will have a shared experience to take back to the class to learn from.
