My Students

Technology surrounds our students everyday, so why not excite them with it in education?

I teach one sixth grade TAM class and one regular education class.

Within my TAM class, I have seven special education students and fourteen regular education students with abilities ranging from a third grade to high school level. Our school is an intermediate school housing only grades five and six. We are located in a small rural community with high poverty rates where more than 50% of our students receive free or reduced lunch.

My Project

With the use of a Livescribe Smart Pen and notebook, my students will be able to take notes in Math and Social Studies and then use the playback feature to review information that they may have missed during instruction. I believe that this will be such a valuable tool for not only my special education students who have problems taking notes, but also for my regular education students. They will be able to perfect their skills for middle and high school preparation.

By receiving a Livescribe Smart Pen, my students will be able to accelerate their learning.

The Smart Pen will give them the opportunity to really concentrate on classroom instruction without the fear of missing information.
