My Students

The second grade students are such hard workers! Their love for Science and Social Studies has made teaching those subjects so much fun this year. They are always begging to start a new project or research something out of the ordinary.

They cannot wait for warm weather and our plant and animal units to begin!

We will be planting various seeds and see how they grow. We will also be watching various animals grow and develop into their adult forms.

My Project

Having these real life experiments, students will be able to get an up close view of science in action! I have three second grade classes that will take part in each experiment. Each individual student will creat a journal of each project and witness the changes that happen on a daily/weekly basis.

For a month, students will be able to plant and grow a Venus fly trap, view ants and ladybugs living in their own environments, and watch caterpillars become butterflies.

If we were to get these materials, we would be able to provide students with the true experience they hope for. Live science in action!
