Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a hard working, resilient and inspired group of kids ranging in age from 3 to 11 years. They all work hard two to three times each week with me to improve their receptive and expressive communication skills to be successful within their daily lives and curricular subjects. The following quote relates to my students and the importance of this project:
“Just because they can’t express it, doesn’t mean that they are not listening, thinking, feeling, or understanding it.”
My Project
My project is requesting materials that allow my students to follow directions, identify and use positional words, increase vocabulary repertoires, improve comprehension, and increase functional communication skills! All of the wonderful materials promote active engagement of critical language skills. It will help them to strengthen their overall communication skills for success within the classroom and in every day life!
My students learn best by using manipulatives and hands-on activities which are multi-sensory and actively engaging.
Please help me acquire these materials to foster a love of learning and improve my students ability to communicate to set them up for future success in life.
