My Students

The first day of school is around the corner and I will get to meet my new students soon. I am thrilled to see their faces, learn their names and get to teach them. My tiny humans have little sponge brains and they will love to learn.

First grade is a magical grade level.

To say that I am excited is an understatement. I am anxiously anticipating them and cannot wait to teach. I have been preparing my classroom to make sure it is a positive environment for my students.

My Project

The literacy bundle will assist me in my small groups during my reading block. My students will enjoy participating in small groups because they will get to interact and have fun.

Reading in 1st grade can be magical.

Teachers have the ability to make literacy fun and exciting for our students but​ we need to have the resources in order for that to happen.

This year, I have several students that are below grade level and I have to get creative in ways to teach them to read. I don't want them to give up on themselves. I want them to feel confident and excited to learn.
