I have 21 amazing children who are all 5 to 6 years old! We have 11 girls and 10 boys in our class this year. We live in a rural area on the eastern shore of Maryland not too far from Annapolis. We have children from two-parent families, single parent families, and several who speak English as a second language. About 30% of our class gets free or reduced-price meals, and a few take home a bag of food each weekend from our local Backpack Club food pantry program. These boys and girls are excited to learn and are extremely hard workers who like to please their teachers! These children are excited to learn and grow in their first full-day school experience!
My Project
My kindergarten students are active and LOVE learning centers! We are asking for engaging activities and refills of some classroom supplies that they use often!
We would love to add Hot Dots with pens, puzzle storage, and Kwik Stix refills to our classroom, in addition to a few other supplies as well!
All of my students love to learn with their peers in various interactive ways and learning centers are the perfect place to do so! The children practice math skills with Hot Dots interactive cards. They problem solve and persevere by working on floor puzzles. They're always showing their creativity with Kwik Stix paint pens in the art center. All of these children are amazing in different ways! We thank you for helping each of them in different ways in their daily kindergarten experiences!
