My students need to wiggle and move while they learn! By using wobble chairs, wiggle cushions and balance balls my students will improve their focus and love learning even more!
My school is located in a small community with a population of around 800. Our student population is high poverty and highly mobile. As a district, we currently qualify for 100% free lunch due to our high percentage of students from poverty backgrounds.
My students are active, curious and so eager to learn!
I think one of the best things ever is helping young children develop a love of learning. It is so rewarding to see how much my little students grow during the year.
My Project
Children are better able to focus and engage in active learning when they are comfortable and able to move throughout the day. I provide lots of opportunities for my students to move during the day but as it is now, my classroom is still the traditional tables and chairs. I believe that having the chance to offer flexible seating options would be so very beneficial to my kids!
I can't wait to begin to transform my classroom using the balance balls, wobble chairs and wiggle cushions!
I can already envision the impact this project will have on my young students.
