Do you ever feel like it's never enough? Well due to minimized budgets we are feeling the pain and it feels like we are punishing our students for our shortcomings.
I have a classroom of inquisitive kindergarteners interested in learning.
My students come to school every day ready and eager to learn. However, we need more materials to reach all learners. My students attend a Title One reading and math school with average to low parental involvement.
My students face daily challenges due to the many budget issues that are constantly reducing educational funding. We are constantly trying to thrive with limited resources. I teach my students the foundation of education. Without that foundation, they will be lost as citizens and as students beyond kindergarten.
Kindergartners are our new young readers. We must grab their attention early in order to capture and grow their love for reading. If we teach them early to love nonfiction then as they get older they will grow to love reading about real life events for learning and not reading just for entertainment purposes.
My Big World magazine will help prepare little people read big things at an early age.
Each issue will expose students to science or social development, real-world photos, and repetitive text. My students will also be able to take the magazine home and share it will their families and friends.
These magazines will increase students’ love for reading, expose them to other types of reading materials, and offer students real life experiences. It will also increase students’ oral communication skills as they talk about the magazines. This magazine will increase reading levels and give access to all different types of learners.
Please help me provide rich-text to my students to increase reading levels and learning experiences.
