Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My children walk into my classroom everyday eager to see what the day has in store for them. They are full of life and in need of love and affection. I greet them everyday with a huge hug, and a welcome to our class. They look forward to that with a smile on their face. You see, I work in a school that is a Title One school, which means at least 96% of our students receive Free Breakfast, and Free or Reduced Lunch. Within my class, English as a second language is prevalent.

Even at this young age, several of my children have life stories that we can't imagine.

What I want to provide for my children is a safe, fun, and loving environment where they can forget all of the worries and hardships and know their teacher will be there for them!

As a teacher, I know they are capable, and my belief helps them believe it. Wow! I am beyond proud of them!

My Project

The Amazon Fire tablets will make a world of a difference for my students! It will help my children take charge in their learning. This will help my children strive to become independent learners. Its going to provide many opportunities in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and technology. In reading students will be able to listen to different engaging stories. In Science, they will be able to explore the world around us. In Math, they will be able to do different math games and in writing they will be able to create creative stories.

Children in this era are growing up with technology at their finger tips.

We need to be able to reach them where they are at and prepare them for the future.
