My Students

Our school is a very ethnically diverse school located in Brooklyn. It is a Pre-K center, which opened up in September of 2015. We had students from Turkey, Russia, China, Jamaica, Mexico, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and many other parts of the world. My students were completely engaged in many activities designed based on the curriculum, however, I would often say "If I had ______, it would be so much better for them". For this years class, I would like for them to have it all!

My Project

Every student is able to succeed if given the right tools. Little minds can grow big if given the opportunity. So why not make this happen? I am requesting materials for my classroom which I strongly believe will make a difference in students learning. The squirrel and tree game will be used for the plants and trees unit of study. These games will encourage sharing, turn-taking, and problem solving. I am also requesting sensory foam play, along with the alphabet cards as a motivation to learn the letters. Lastly, the foam paint will be used for students to express their creativity.
