Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our first grade students love learning how about technology. They love to use our classroom computers to listen to books, practice phonics skills, play math games, and research the topics they are interested in. The kids love to use technology to enhance their learning.
Our school is in an urban environment, with a tremendous school and neighborhood community.
Our staff, administrators, parents, and community members work together to provide the best education possible to our hard working and dedicated students.
My Project
My project is for a classroom set of headphones so that every kid can have a pair to work on their computer programs. We have a variety of wonderful programs we use at school to meet every kid at their level. These programs support kids in their individual learning, but they need headphones to hear the programs and learn the topics being presented. Having kids work on computers while some kids are working with the teacher or in a small group also helps create a quiet and calm learning environment so everyone can focus on the work ahead of them.
