Help me give my students more materials to support learning in our classroom. We could use more materials for science, building, reading, and storytelling, learning to write, and exploring music.
Our classroom services special education students in a public school setting. We do a variety of activities to support student academic success including learning to learn skills and many preacademic tasks. We could use more supplies to support the learning that occurs in our classroom.
My Project
We do a lot of hands-on activities for literacy, since the students are so young and having a piece of the book they can touch helps them engage, more books with pieces related to them will support their learning. We do a lot of writing on a variety of surfaces to get their fine motor skills strong and to encourage a variety of ways to express themselves to get them prepared to write and draw in their future academic careers. We have a music center that could also use some spicing up with new musical instruments.
The purchase of these materials will help make my students able to explore STEAM and early literacy more effectively in the classroom.
