Our students are the youngest in our school; their ages range from 4 years old to 6 years old. We have a full day program. We are located in Inglewood, CA in a high poverty neighborhood where most of our students are on the free or reduced-price lunch program.
With the majority of our students coming from low-income homes, these donations may even provide an opportunity for a student who may not have access to internet-connected technology devices at home.
Our students are curious, eager, and diverse learners. Having reliable and consistent access to adaptive learning programs will go a long way towards meeting their unique learning needs.
Children ages 0-5 are in the prime of their learning with an amazing capacity for brain development and emerging skill sets that have the potential to uplift the trajectory of their entire lives. Technology is an immensely powerful tool in this process.
Unfortunately, not all technology devices are tailored to the unique needs of younger learners in terms of their fine motor development.
i-Pads are ideally suited for easy accessibility and use by young students who otherwise struggle with keyboarding and traditional mouse-maneuver and click functionality. i-Pads are developmentally appropriate and will finally allow our young students to access our core curriculum e-books, early learning writing apps, basic computer coding, math enrichment and the power to create content of their own as an expression of their learning on a daily basis. In doing so, it will have the positive effect of increasing knowledge, skills, independence, and the pride of feeling their competencies grow by leaps and bounds!
