Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most students in Kindergarten have a short attention span...it's even shorter when you can't hear the computer! Headphones will help drown out the rest of the classroom and help them try their best on their literacy and math skills.
My Kindergarten class is a lively group of 22 in California.
The school is a K-8 charter school. My class is comprised of 75% English language learners. More than half of my class are boys and the group is very energetic! They love working on the computer and are expected to complete many different computer programs testing them on their literacy and math skills.
They have so much potential and love school!
My Project
These headphones will change our literacy and math center time so much! Five to six students are using the computer at the same time and it gets noisy in the classroom from the other activities happening at the same time. With these headphones they will be able to focus on their work while learning reading and math skills. It is crucial that they be able to focus especially since the majority are learning English and need to be able to hear correct pronunciation. They will also be an engaging incentive since they are shaped like bears, the students will be so excited to use them!
The project means so much to me and will impact my students learning.
My students will truly be able to try their best and focus on their work. They will be so excited to use these headphones!
