My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They love hands-on, engaging projects that allow them to think outside the box! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take chances in order to grow both academically and on a personal level. They are my inspiration!

This year has continued to be a challenge for us, to say the least, with some days being distance learning and others being in person.

I love my job and I feel very blessed to teach some of the most awesome first graders! My students come from many different cultural backgrounds and face many challenges in and out of the classroom, but they all know one thing: that I love and care about them.

Our classroom is a busy yet, happy place where students can learn while feeling safe. If you were to walk into my classroom, you would not hear silence. You would hear lots of chatter at stations where students are exchanging ideas and discussing the objectives they are learning about. You would find me right with the students talking and observing students who may need extra support. We are a family and we love each other.

My Project

In first grade we go through a ton of supplies and manipulatives for learning! I am always trying to find new and creative ways to enhance learning for my students especially now amid the pandemic. With these supplies students would be able to create a project based on what they have learned. I don't want my students to have worry about supplies or having a fun game to play. I want to be able to provide those for my students, they deserve the best. Students have enough to worry about just being a kid.

It's the little things that make the biggest difference in education.

Despite their daily obstacles, my students come to school full of life and ready to learn. With these much needed supplies my students will be able to learn with hands on manipulatives, and be able to create projects that will not only boost learning but confidence.

To continue bringing learning to life I desire to have your support on this project. It will truly go a long way in helping my students continue to have a successful school year. Thank you.
