Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is made up of 20 amazing learners. They come to class ready to learn despite the obstacles they face prior to stepping foot in the classroom. We are a Title I school and almost all of my students are English Language Learners. My students love coming to school because I make learning fun. My students work hard each and every day. Unfortunately, they need supplies that I can’t provide on my own. This includes art supplies for the classroom.
My Project
Help bring art and creativity into my first grade classroom! My students love to paint and complete different types of art projects. They need more opportunities to use their imagination and express themselves using different mediums. I'm requesting watercolor paint, paper, and glue.
I am also requesting special visors that students can decorate for our fun field day.
This activity would be a wonderful team-building experience and would help us beat the Florida heat. Students will wear the visors as we compete against different classes. I was also thinking that we could wear them on our school field trips throughout the year.
