My Project

Genius Time is a set time where my students have the freedom to research topics that are interesting to them. My students love this time of the week because they are getting a choice in their learning. When they have finished researching their topic, they begin their creation phase. In the past, my students have made PowerPoints, clay models, and posters.

By having an array of supplies such as clay, water colors and glitter glue, my students will be motivated to think outside of the box during the creation phase.

My students already love partaking in Genius Time. My students faces light up when we start Genius Time simply from picking their own topic, creating something from their research, and sharing their knowledge with their peers. I can only imagine the excitement my students will feel when they see a closet full of Genius Time supplies.
