My students are active explorers ranging in age from 3-5 years-old. They love to learn and do so in many different ways. From kinesthetic learning to visual learning to auditory learning, my students are always taking in lots of new information.
Hands-on learning is what I strive to provide for my active learners.
All 36 of my students love to stay busy, work hard, and learn! One of my goals for each of my students is to foster a love of learning within them that I hope they will carry with them throughout their lives.
My Project
My students are little builders who are eager to build and create with whatever materials and manipulatives they can find. While our classroom does have some blocks and manipulatives, it could use some new and unique materials to offer different opportunities. New materials such as easy build bricks, creature builders, giant soft blocks, and magnetic builders will give them new opportunities to let their imaginations run wild.
Providing my students with opportunities to build and explore is allowing them time to learn STEM skills, logical reasoning, and work on their fine motor skills.
It is important in Pre-K to help children build a foundation of strong early childhood skills they will carry with them throughout their academic career. New and innovative materials are a tool needed to give children the best learning opportunities possible.
