Mrs. Lacy from Greenville TX is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Literature, Reading, and Novels

My students need a class set of two books per school year. I will have grades 8-10 this year, and fortunately, I will be able to use these books over and over again.

My Students

We are a charter STEM school, which includes very intelligent, motivated, and rigor-driven students, with a love for learning. We are new, and we need a little help to get the necessary novels, plays, and literature so that we can learn about all things ELAR!

Our students are in a school that requires a much higher rigor and work ethic than most public schools in this area.

In order for me to require this work ethic from my students, I need to have the necessary literature and novels to enhance their learning process as much as possible.

My Project

With limited resources and help, donations are much needed in our small district. Luckily, so far I have been able to find teacher's guides and the movie versions of most of the literature online, which is great when saving money. These additional items will allow my students to read, evaluate, and discuss some of the classics in English literature.

Twelve Angry Men, Fahrenheit 451, Romeo and Juliet will add to my small novels sets and allow my students an array of literature so they can read, analyze, discuss, and write on these novels.

Projects will follow after the aforementioned is final.
