Hi. Thank you for taking the time to look at my proposal. We really appreciate the fact that there are citizens out there who truly care about education. I teach Kindergarten at Wrightsboro Elementary in Wilmington, North Carolina. I teach it all: Math, Reading, Language, Science and Social Studies. Our school is also a Positive Behavior School and the mighty home of the "Cool Cats". I am asking for funding for a set of Literary Magazines that cover many topics. These magazines contain real life pictures. This is very important in the community that I teach in. A lot of our children have not left our small town. I feel this magazine would not only be a great support to the themes (and offer real life pictures) but give the kids another resource they can tap for information. I think also having a monthly magazine will teach the children about finding information through reading magazines/newspapers. Our children don't get this modeled very often. We will also use these magazines to do certain activities like vocabulary words, beginning reading habits, graphing, comprehension and phonics. This subscription includes monthly magazines, read aloud stories, and early readers. As a bonus we also get an election issue, a seed that needs to be planted very early! I really think our students will learn a lot of important issues through this magazine. Thank you.
