My Students

We are a Title I school, and many of our students do not have opportunities that many other children have. My project idea is inspired by teaching environmental science across all subjects. I would like to expand and engage my students' learning beyond the classroom to include other areas around the world, their home, their lives, and their community.

My students are ready and excited to learn.

I am sure if they are given opportunities to learn and have access to technology like other children do that this will help them succeed in school and in life. This project will help students realize that everyone cares about improving their academic success.

My Project

The project will give me access to display grammar activities on the web. I find that trying to use the devices that are available is difficult. Often, our technology is overused and contains problems with viruses, causing me to abandon a lesson or avoid tackling work that I can use off the internet. Currently, we are exploring poetry in our class, and due to the seldom available computers, I am unable to utilize programs that would be useful for all my students inside my classroom

Having an HP - 15.6'Touch-Screen Laptop will give me the tools to work with our projector.

My classroom is not furnished with a smart board. By having this tool, I will be able to conduct all class work effectively for all my students.
