In my building we have over 75% that receive free or reduced lunch prices. This school year I have around 22 students in my class. I will have students with a variety of special needs, English Language Learners, students with IEPs, students that work intensely with our Reading Specialists, as well as students with speech IEPs. These students come from a variety of socioeconomic statuses, religions, and ethnics. With all these differences we need some new books and learning resources to meet the academic needs of my students.
My Project
We are in need of a variety of books and supplies to meet the needs of my students. In our kindergarten curriculum we cover a variety of topics within literacy, math, social studies, and science topics and lessons. Some of these topics include, STEM, human body, fairy tales, and life cycles. I am need of these materials to teach and expand the knowledge of my kindergartners.
These materials are essential because they will provide the information and the hands-on experience within a variety of topics for my students.
To name a few things... The building materials will provide STEM activities for the students. The books about the human body will provide the basic knowledge for my students. . The puppets will teach the students to retell and expand on the famous fairy tales I use within our school's curriculum.
