Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am an inclusion teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students all are faced with daily special needs challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the various learning disabilities they face, I look forward to servicing and accommodating each one at their individual levels of learning. I want to keep things as simple and positive for my students with meaningful learning experiences.
My students are unique and very spontaneous.
In the short time since school started, I have grown to love them for their individual personalities. They are eager to please their teacher and work hard each day. Most of them are being raised in households by a single parent and are eligible for free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. I want them to have normal experiences as every child should experience, without regards to their home environments.
My Project
The selected iPad will be a great addition to incorporate literature and art into out daily activities. My students have limited access to the latest modern technology, so I want to provide as many as these kinds of experiences as possible. The device will be utilized for the various online math and reading programs the district utilizes.
My main goal is to provide them with a love for learning that they will carry with them the rest of their lives.
I want them to be able to keep up with one of the latest technological equipment.
