I am a high school teacher of Spanish at the New School for the Arts and Sciences and our school is in dire need of novels, short stories and interactive activities for Spanish class levels 1-6. Our school services students from an impoverished community. Their families income levels prevent them from securing any type of resources and equipment. At this point, all I can provide are photo copies of materials I have which require the expenditure of paper (thus trees). Students need these novels, short stories and other literary works to take home to read, specially during the weekend and breaks. Our students do not have these resources that will help them in their academics. Reading in all time is how they can achieve higher reading levels. I want to offer them this experience obtaining copies of the novels to each student. Now, we have only one, the teacher's copy.
