Help me give my students the opportunity for a new computer in our school library. The students will be able to check out library books, enjoy reading, and engage in lots of fun educational activities.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are the youngest learners in our school district. Our school is an Early Childhood Center. We support students ages 3 to 7 years old. Our students come from all over our city to learn and grow together. We are committed to closing the achievement gap by ensuring our students are able to read. Help me give our students the opportunity for a new computer in our school library. The students will be able to check out library books, enjoy reading, and engage in lots of fun educational activities on our school smartboard.
Our school's focus is reading.
Our students enjoy listening to stories read to them and they are learning to read independently. Our students are bright, funny, witty, caring, respectful, responsible, and loving. We believe helping students to become good readers will lead to their future success.

My Project
This computer will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My library is a place that my students really enjoy reading, both to themselves and on online. Every book in our school library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. Books are chosen with students in mind. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
