In our district, we have a high free or reduced-price lunch population and a diverse population. My students come from backgrounds that may not be able to provide experiences that they need to develop social and emotional skills, higher order thinking skills or critical thinking opportunities. My 5th grade students are energetic, inquisitive, and love to learn in a variety of ways, including music, art, movement, technology, small group work, and hands-on activities. Our classroom is a safe place to ask questions, to learn from our failures and mistakes, to sustain our love of learning, and celebrate our differences.
My Project
Our classroom is requesting a half set of 3Doodler Pens to enhance our learning by using hands on creativity.
My goal is to get my students to use the 3Doodler to expand their thinking and make connections to problem solving.
We use problem solving everyday to try to prepare students for what lies ahead. What better way to do this than to use 3Doodler pens to show their ideas in reading, social studies and even math. The pens will allow them to invent, create and show their ideas, in a new and exciting way. The pens will be used during centers to allow students to use their brains in a new and different way. It is so important that students get to do a variety of things, with a variety or resources, and this donation will allow us to put a new tool in the hands of students.
