Help me give my students resources for play-based literacy, including Double Sided Magnetic Letter Tiles, Word Building Blocks and Snap and Learn ABC Elephants.
I have started my second year teaching, with a group of 23 playful kindergarteners! Our year will be full of teaching, learning, and exploring, for both my students and myself! My students welcome me each morning with curiosity, excitement, and big loving smiles!
All students display different personalities, passions, and ways in which they learn best.
It is a joy getting to know each and every student as a creative young individual. In our classroom we are continually busy reading, writing, playing, and engaging hands-on in our learning! I love providing experiences in which students can explore, learn new things, and expand their love for learning.
My Project
We are very busy in Kindergarten learning our letters, sounds, and simple words. These materials are great for hands-on practice of letters and sounds, while also playing through building, such as the double sided magnetic learning tiles and the word building blocks. They can use the letter link elephants as well as the magnetic letters to build cvc and sight words throughout the year.
All of these materials will be very useful for the students from fall through the end of the year, as they are very versatile for first learning letters, then sounds, word building and so on.
The students will becoming familiar and comfortable using these literacy materials early on, and will be able to use them for a wide variety of activities as their skills grow and transform. My students will love having new hands on materials to practice with independently, as well as when playing with others. These materials will allow for collaboration and playing with peers.
