My students need listening and learning centers for more opportunities to explore literature and math independently. I would love to provide a listening station with CD player for them to play phonemic games and math activities.

My Students

Be in command of your own education! I would like to empower my students to direct their own learning through a listening station. We currently have stations in my classroom but the current listening station is extremely antiquated. Most of my students don't even know what a cassette tape is.

My students come from difficult home lives.

I teach in a fabulous school that is highly populated by refugee students. It's hard to believe that we have such a large population of displaced refugees in Dallas. Many of my students bring brilliant smiles and positive energy into my classroom. I want to be able to give them new tools to acquire the English language.

My Project

My students would love the opportunity to play math & literacy games in a listening station. Each day my students ask my why the tape won't play... they get super confused trying to flip it over or press the rewind button. I'd love to bring current technology into my classroom while encouraging my students to learn new things.

This project would support our math and reading curriculum.

It would put a fun twist on the typical "pen and paper" assignments. The headphones make the students feel important and in command. Thank you for checking out my project!
