My Students

My students live in a rural city. There are many students in our school who speak Spanish or another language at home. Over half of our school's population receives free or reduced price lunch. Breakfast is free for every student in the district. I have several students who receive a backpack for the weekend that is filled with food for them to eat.

My students are eager to learn and won't let any hardship wear them down.

Last year, when they were in kindergarten, our district had 2 floods and 2 tornadoes near the end of the school year. The students, just like our community, are resilient and look forward to helping others.

My Project

My classroom has a great library! We have over 40 tubs of books and my students love to read! My seating area close to the classroom library is not very homey or inviting yet. This is where I need help!

I would like students to have comfortable seating options around our classroom library.

I have pillows and a rug, but it would be great if we had these foam comfy seats that can be 3 seats or a whole bench. I think the students will love having this option to read. It will be easy to clean and move. This is the perfect solution!
