Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 14 bubbly, smiling and anxious students walking through my classroom doors every day. They are all ready and anxious to learn all they can!

I teach a self contained classroom in Texas that is in a very low income area.

My students work hard daily to meet their goals. They struggle daily to work on academics and social skills. Big or small, each accomplishment is a big deal in my classroom and I'm proud of my students every day!

My Project

The materials that I am requesting for my classroom are sets of mini sight word readers along with matching DVD's and a workbook.

My students work hard daily to overcome many obstacles that seem easy for others.

One of the hurdles they must jump is learning to read. Sight words are very important when teaching a child to read. These are words that students will recognize automatically when reading a passage.

These mini books, workbook and DVD's are sure to get my students excited about learning their sight words and will help make them better readers! I have all sorts of learners in my room so these products are sure to meet their needs. The books can help my visual learners, the work books for my kinesthetic learners and the DVD for my auditory learners.
