Literacy Rewards for Reading Intervention Students

Help me give my students classroom rewards to help increase their literacy skills. These classroom rewards will go toward our literacy coffee bar. Students will be able to practice their reading skills and enjoy drinks while they work.

My Project

The students at my school are resilient and brave. Many of them have recently moved to Hawaii from Micronesia and struggle with the English language. With COVID-19, students were not able to practice social skills or speaking English regularly. Now that we are back to school in person, these resources will be used to help students with social emotional and academic instruction. Students in my reading intervention class have the ability to practice and strengthen literacy skills and earn prizes for their hard work. Students will also be able to enjoy hot chocolate while they are reading a leveled reader of their choice. School should be fun for students and I want to instill a love of reading. These resources will directly impact my students and reward them for their hard work.
