Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are part of the Links program. They are all wonderfully autistic. Each one of them has such wonderful personalities and are all unique. They are also on different learning levels. Each one of them requires different adaptations and most of them learn better on one and hands-on. They are very smart and funny and so caring. They make teaching for me worth every moment. I would love to give them the world but I will settle on changing the world for them each and every day.
My Project
These items will be used to help put on a wonderful literacy parade. I would love to dress my children in capes and personalized t-shirts that they will love and cherish for years to come. The literacy parade ties into the story we have been reading and the vocabulary words to go with it. These items will help us to put on a wonderful parade. I believe that having these vocabulary words on their T-shirts and capes will enhance their reading because it will tie into the superheroes that they already love. All the children in my class are autistic and face so many challenges every day, I want this parade to allow them to feel like the superheroes they were born to be. The Cricut press will allow making the iron-on for the personalized t-shirts for the parade along with the Cricut to tools to make the labels for the capes.
