My Students

We currently are 20 students strong. We are at a Title I school. Throughout the day we work on math, social studies or science, and ELA. We love our class pet lizard and we are very excited to see new changes in our classroom.

We look forward to making our classroom a second home.

We have started to do this through gaining a class pet, plants, a rug by our guided reading area, more books, and hopefully many items to come to make our classroom a fun and safe place to be!!

My Project

I need items to help me teach literacy. Lately, as a building, we've been focusing on Guiding Reading. Guided Reading is something we do each day and every day and we will see some students either every day or twice a week during this time. Not only can I help ensure these items will help build up my students in their reading ability, but they also will help me learn how to teach literacy. I'm excited to be able to teach this. I recently took a class taught by a lady from the bank using books to teach financial literacy. With these additional items, I can make literacy fun! With these materials will I not only learn from them but I will get to share my knowledge with my students. I tell my students or scholars that this time is called getting ready for college. That is because we are. We rare helping them gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful.
