This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Academic overachievers is what comes to mind when I think about the students in my classroom. I am a PACE teacher, meaning my students receive 85% or higher on their academics but don't qualify for gifted. As a teacher, I (provide) them with (accelerated curriculum early) (PACE). My class is fast-paced, rigorous and provides quality and fidelity every day.
My students like a challenge!
Since my classroom is focused on higher achieving students they are challenging themselves and growing academically daily. To meet these demands I must keep my classroom stocked with supplies that support their learning. My schools is from a low economic class. 90% of the students in my classroom receive free lunch.
My Project
These audio books will supply essential materials for students that are needing enrichment and remedial help. The lessons that will be taught will include project based learning based off of these books. Students will learn about theme, character analysis, and how to write to literary texts.
A little lagniappe goes a long way.
In Louisiana often times students in public schools come from impoverished economic and social environments. These books can take them into another world giving them excitement and enjoyment apart from their daily ordinary lives. Please help me make a difference in my students academics. Readers are LEADERS!!
