Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are caring, creative, and excited to learn when they come to class. They have positive attitudes and are ready to work hard each and every day. They enjoy exploring new concepts utilizing as many resources as possible. One of my favorite things as a teacher is when they come up to me to show me on their device that they have found a vocabulary word in their reading.
Today, education is driven by technology.
My students have access to devices and programs that they likely do not have access to at home. Getting to utilize technology is one of their favorite parts of the day!
My Project
Our district and our students are continuing with the rest of the digital world and are provided with ample opportunities to interact with technology. My students love to read and listen to their favorite books through a variety of different programs.
Most students' attentions are grabbed by the pictures they find in books and, with technology, the sounds of the characters or settings.
If my students have access to these educational apps paired with the use of these wireless headphones, they will become better readers. They will have the opportunity to use technology to learn from what they are listening to free from distractions and at their own pace.
