Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My library is in desperate need of literature aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards. My students are faced with a limited classroom library and would greatly benefit from exemplar texts that are aligned to the common core.
I am a 6th grade special education teacher in a low socio-economic, high-needs district.
I teach ELA and mathematics in a middle school setting.
Most of my students struggle at both of these subjects, and I am always looking for great resources to inspire them and encourage them to be motivated life long learners. They have the potential they just need the resources to be a success.
My Project
My students are from a low socioeconomic area. They are very energetic and enthusiastic about learning. They are hardworking students who often do not have home support. The new standards will be difficult to teach or implement without the proper resources. With the new books that I have selected I will be able to deliver rigorous and engaging performance tasks to help students achieve a high level of learning.
My students need access to books aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards.
Each book will facilitate literacy learning through engaging and valuable material. This critical for my students to eventually become College and Career ready.
