My Students

I love my students’ unique personalities. They are loving, witty, and loved to be entertained. Therefore, keeping them engaged is very important to me.

Living in a small community, there isn’t much to see or do.

Although the population is growing, it lacks regular food chains and shopping areas. Therefore, most of my students depend on school events for fun and entertainment.

My Project

Scholastic Math materials will change my students’ mindset of real-world mathematics. They are great examples of how we use math in our daily lifestyles and answer the question I hear from my students every day, "When will I ever use this?"

The magazines exposes them to other cultures and places in the world and how they apply math to improve their particular lifestyle.

Scholastic's digital learning piece implements technology through games, Google Classroom access and interactive learning. These materials are so much more than a magazine to my students and, as a teacher, I know they are learning and getting what they need to become productive, lifelong learners.
