I teach awesome students! They are uniquely wonderful. They are bright, funny, curious, talkative, shy, athletic, brave, optimistic and charming! They have a zest for life and learning. Even when faced with difficult circumstances, they maintain positive attitudes and are eager to learn.
Their positive outlook and hope for the future inspire me to continually strive to do better, in the classroom and in life!
I can't wait to see the paths their young lives take and how far they travel.
My Project
This project focuses on literacy and books for math class. For example, we are requesting the Sir Cumference book set, some Greg Tang books and many other books that center around math in our everyday lives.
The books will be used for projects and activities that will reinforce basic mathematical concepts from prior years.
The goal is to have the students read a book per quarter and present the material in whatever way they choose to their peers. This way, the concept is reinforced for the student and then reinforced again when the student shares their final book project. An added bonus is that students are also reinforcing their reading skills!
This project will positively impact my students in so many ways! Math, reading, art, creativity; the list is endless!
