it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach 16 beautiful kindergarten students.
They are each unique in their own special way. Some are gifted while others require an extra helping hand. No matter their capabilities, they hold a dear place in my heart. The school they attend is located in southern Florida. Many of the children I teach are underprivileged and come from homes that may not nurture them to the fullest. It is my desire to expose them to a creative and educational environment where learning is the number 1 goal.
My Project
With the resources that I have chosen, my students will be exposed to different formats of learning during their center rotations. Choosing hands on activities for the students to explore will stimulate their creativity as well enhance their educational experience. Some of the materials being requested include: Alphabet activity mats, number puzzles, 4 magic boards, scissors, scoops, and a mini bowling set.
While I am attending to my guided reading groups, the rest of my students independently complete their literacy center rotations.
In the past, I have provided them with activities that involve the use of paper. However, with a paper crisis looming in our school, I must provide my students with hands on, engaging activities that meet their educational goals. Many of the resources I have chosen will give my students the opportunity to learn in a new and exciting format.
